Hi Rutendo, quantifying angiogenesis is difficult no matter what technique you are using.

We used to measure in vivo angiogenesis in tissue sections by counting the number of branch points. That is when endo capillaries branch into 2 different capillaries.

If someone comes up with a quick, easy and reproducible assay for in vitro angiogenesis that translates perfectly to in vivo assays, they could book a ticket to Stockholm.
