How the ratio of DNA sample : dye of 6x loading dye has effect on the bands we observe via Gel-Doc?How dilution matters?

I have been running agarose gel electrophoresis and visualizating the gel after the electrophoresis.I did dilution like I took sample 10 microlitre and 2ul 6X loading dye ;total loaded 12ul in first lane and for the same sample in the 2nd lane of I took a 2.5ul sample and 0.5 ul dye,total 3 ul .

After I run the gel I saw the band at 3ul lane i.e the 2nd lan, band less smeared.

What could be the reason.How dilution effect?
