Some graduate advisors are good and some are difficult to work with. A graduate student is often confused if his supervisor doesn't believe in discussions and creates problems that ruins the normal research environment. If a student fails to correct when something goes wrong, he/she feels guilty later. This is specially true after the problems are compiled and becomes difficult to deal with later. If the student always corrects his/her supervisor, she/he may feel arrogant, cocky or he/she may have compromised the superiority of the advisor. In both ways, it is very disturbing for the student. So, how should the graduate student deal with a difficult advisor?
