It is astonishing to observe as traffic jams are arising from completely deterministic simulations with increasing density of cars on the road.
I recommend search for experimental data on stadiums done with real cars, it is quite funny to observe that despite the best intentions of all drivers to keep the right distance, traffic jams always arise.
thank you very much for your reply!! :D Im working on a system based on the Kuramoto model for synchonization, and Im finding avalanches and power laws....self organized criticality stems....but it's all deterministic....so I was asking myself if SOC and Deterministic systems (more of the Synchronization kind) have been related before, the Sandpile and the traffic CAs you mentioned are good examples ... have you any clue if synchronization and SOC are related?? :D thank you!!!:D
When you check my latest research results, you will find that the core of it is dealing with emergents, emergent computations, and theory of computation. After briefly checking your research, without ever working on oscillating systems, my experience is that there are always present some sorts of events within simulations, which are at the edge of chaos.
Possibly, some of those sytems might present power-law scaled events. It would be good to look for systems that are constantly generating some increasing amount of organization that is suddenly collapsing.
This would require to find out and automatic AI or ML based filters and run many simulations of systems with slowly changing parameters. Does it sound clearly enough to you?
