Experienced chemist may obtained valuable qualitative information about the products obtained by the processing line according to human subjective sensations (color, odor ,....).
But also we have quantitative objective data obtained by analytical instruments.

Qualitative information is just a poorly measured quantitative🙂. E.g. presence of some feature has two values: Yes and No (1&0). They can be included in math models along with true quantitative answers. Sociology uses a lot of factor analysis, having only qualitative answers.
