How much time required for one powder sample for XPS analysis?

There is no simple answer to this question. It all depends on what you want to get out of the analysis. It can be anything between minutes and days. Quick check of the surface stoichiometry can be done in a few minutes. High-quality spectra acquisition of core levels with low sensitivity factors and present in low amounts can last for days.
