I am studying a type of air conditioning based on air drying with silica gel, in order to have dry air that, after saturation by injecting water, has the right temperature and humidity (say, 14 C and 100% humidity) to be fed to a conditioned room..

No cooling required by refrigeration. Het would be consumed to regenerate silica gel.

(My sensation is that the heat required to regenerate silica gel is lower than the heat consumed in power stations to produce the power required by a conventional air conditioner.)
