Whilst I was pursuing my PhD in the area of political branding, I couldn't help but notice the stark differences which exist between the advanced democracies and developing ones. I was fascinated by the clarity of thoughts as far as western thinkers are concerned and the way they have represented them in their work. Such clarity and comprehensiveness was either not to be found in similar Indian works and even if it was there, the rigor was not up to that standard. There might be exceptions to my observation, but that is what they were, exceptions.
