The doubt is raised because there are several methodologies to estimate the degree of maturity of certain processes, such as computerization, communication, human resources, among others, and there would be the interesting thing how much they have contributed this knowledge to the entities.
It can certainly contribute.. but at least for HR a real assessment of maturity level is highly specific.... KPIs have to be adjusted to industry, size, type of business, geographic span...
It should certainly contribute, as long as the organization has a formalized process management system and is a learning-oriented organization.
Maturity has multiple dimensions that should be related to the key processes as well as to the culture and transparency in an organisation to allow for continuous improvement and innovation.

Armando, the extent to which the combined set of not only computerization, communication and human resource processes but also how effective, efficient and performance driven these are would help as part of an organisation's dynamic capability to deal with the internal and external challenges posed to these interacting activities and processes.
