How measure the settling and rising time of a sine wave signal ?
if I have a output signal that should be sine wave or whatever .. during the transient period at the beginning, I need to measure the rising and settling time .. how I can do that ?
With respect to a given signal of period T, one will choose a time interval which makes it possible to visualize a limited number of periods, 3 or 4, and we will limit ourselves to a number of points
in some cases, you will have to adjust these values. For visualize the establishment of a steady state, we can increase the number of periods, or the opposite, to accurately measure the rise time on a front, we will focus on a single period with more points.

you can consider recording the timing of the waveform at a sinusoid peak, and then record the time, say 10 peaks later. Take the difference, and divide it by 10, to get 1 cycle time.
