@ Jamaa, high salinity of soil can be reduced by proper drainage for better flushing so that salts can be removed from the ground surface. To ensure land cover and manage economic risk better to cultivate salt tolerant crops. You may also try to remove salt crystals from the surface mechanically. Use gypsum or sulfuric acid as chemical amendments . You may grow leafy shrubs like caragana, buffaloberry, silverberry, sea buckthorn, common lilac, golden currant, 'Freedom' honeysuckle and skunkbush sumac or if you want to grow the trees then better to grow oak, maple, magnolia, cedar and willow. For field crops I suggest you to grow barley, camelina, rye, safflower, sunflower, and sugar beets.

Cotton crop or Pasture species as Chloris sp. are also good for salinity soils. I agree to construct drainage systems, so hughe rains can wash of the salt on surface. Or use pasture crops / cover crops to wash inside the salt to lower levels. But finally to wash out salt, you need to use the rainy saison or rainier years.

The common method is plowing first then irrigating several times with having drainage system. This could be done in winter to save water. A depth of 1.5 meter of water is enough to make the saline soil good for planting. You can start with barely, sugar beet or alfalfa,...etc. .regards.
