Number of times a thimble can be used/ re-used in soxhlet extraction process?

It depends on the material of the thimble which you are using. If you are extracting oils from different plants then I will suggest to make sure that you have removed all the traces of the oil extracted previously, before starting with a new plant and if you are extracting oil from a single plant then you can use the thimble multiple times.
