How many times can a defective plastic part be put back into a painting oven?

The main problem painting lines for a plastic part is a high defect rate and it needs repainting. Will it affect the structure of the plastic?

The material will not change the inner structure, because the temperature is under the moulding temperature.

(Of course some details need: type of pinting technology, type of plastic part production (moulding?), type of plastic material)

The painting emphasizes the surface deviations of a plastic part (like welding line). The repainting sometimes can not solve this problem.
