Dear scholar, is there a standard/ or any recommendation for the PhD dissertation length in psychosocial field. Specifically, how many pages the range should be for the first chapter {Introduction}, the 2nd chapter {Lit. Review}, the 3rd ch. {Methods}, the 4th ch. {Results}, and the 5th ch. {Discussion and recomm}?

Dear Prof,i don't think there is a specific page the chapters in a dissertation should contain because field of research varies.

I agree with Oluwafemi. The amount of history on variables studied and paradigm from which the study is approached both greatly influence the length. I've read excellent communication dissertations that ranged from 60-350 pages, which neither lacked content nor added fluff.
