You are actually better off doing it that way than putting it through a freeze-thaw cycle. A freeze- thaw cycle can ceryainly do more damage to the product than a day of refridgeration.
🔹 Glycerol Stocks (Best for Long-Term Storage) – Mix with sterile 15-50% glycerol and store at -80°C. 🔹 Plating & Restreaking – If you have time, spread on agar plates and store plates at 4°C for up to a week.
