I use Alchohol as hand sanitizer. I give a single rub so it is in the hand right? How long i won't need another rub. In other word how long it remain effective on hand?
Some virus have an outer wrapping , which is called an enveloped virus, while others are non enveloped. Alcohol is effective at killing enveloped viruses, including the corona virus , but is less effective at killing non enveloped viruses.

Alcohol rub sanitizers kill most bacteria, and fungi, and stop some viruses. Alcohol rub sanitizers containing at least 70% alcohol (mainly ethyl alcohol) kill 99.9% of the bacteria on hands 30 seconds after application and 99.99% to 99.999% in one minute.
This depends on the extent of contact with contaminated objects suspected, possibly every twenty minutes in the work place. Or wash hands for 30 seconds
Ethyl alcohol is a volatile liquid remains effective for 30-40 sec., on the hand after a single rub.
