How the presence of lignin is harmful to gasification? As we know that green microalgae contain carbohydrates, protein and lipids and they do not contain lignin.
As lignin is hard to decompose due to its resistant composition. So i believe that it is not favorable for the gasification (energy intensive), but I could not find any literature stating that presence of lignin is harmful to gasification..Please your comments, suggestions will be appreciated. Pls provide reference if any. Thanks

What you said is absolutely right. The presence of lignin will affect the gasification process. The presence of other polymers such as cellulose and hemicellulose may not depromote gasification process. The following manuscript will make you clear all your doubts.
