What you stated is the obvious as a collaborative relationship is indeed a necessity for the teams to function effectively and efficiently. However, you would have been better off if you had asked specific question concerning the variables (factors) that affect the quality of such relationship and the contextual variables of the work environment and the external environment too. To have a productive discussion, the question must be specific.
I agree with Marwan, it is obvious (AND NEEDLESS TO SAY) that the relationship should based on collaboration but the challenge is usually to identify and deal with the impediments to this collaboration. Organisational climate (culture) is usually an influential factor in this relationship and could contribute positively or negatively to establishing proper collaboration.
Both BA and PM are very much inter-related and they both are required to be working under a complex multi-disciplinary work environment. A BA has to have special knowledge to find the answer to various problems through analytic and he/she need to understand the project managers' requirements. Similarly, a PM must understand the Key performance Indicators (KPIs) linked to the business objectives and the data analytic required for the effective decision making .......

To extract factors affecting on companies success, which derived from PM and BA collaboration and synergy.
In PMBOK 6th, This point become more distinct in comparison with 5th edition but i believe that still it need to be more discussed and analyzed.
