How is frozen fog formed in the earth's atmosphere?
On cold and clear nights of the year, objects near the earth's surface are moving quickly and emit infrared radiation. The ground and objects on it often become much colder. Air that comes in contact with these cold conditions eventually cools to the dew point - the temperature at which saturation occurs. It appears as surfaces such as branches, leaves, and blades, and dew or fog occurs in the atmosphere.
