I need to measure the throughput of my network. I used Linux because it real time and more faster to achieve giga bit throughput, but I don't now how.

if config show the ip address of the lans card only. if you know any other method please tell me how.

you right about ifconfig , but what I need is simultaneous monitoring for the throughput. the big problem that I use embedded network system for that a Linux micro core I used. many tools not installed on it, not like Ubuntu, fedora or debian. the another problem is that I am not Professional in Linux I just a beginner with respect to your experience Sir, for that I will spend some time to look in your suggestion and I will be back to you soon. thanx

ah.... may I ask you another questions. do you have any idea about Yocto Project. I heard a good news about it and Mr. aaron kunze( intel developer) suggested it to me. I search on it as a suitable tools for building a customized Linux for embedded system.
