Someone know any method to do a laser cut, in a three axis laser cutter machine, inclined? This is necessary to do a groove in a sheetmetal with two dimensional characteristics in the face and in the bottom.
You can change inclined angle by tilting the cutting head or tilting the material itself. But in order to tilt the material, you need to design a special jigs the can hold the material while maintaining the tilting angle during cutting process.
Incline the head not is a viable solution, because the cut there three possible dimensions, a five axis machine is a solution, but I haven't this equipment and sincerly, the my target is a cut with 0.2 to 0.5 mm with a taper of 3 to 5 degrees, maybe a five axis machine can´t do this.
My idea is change the parameters, maybe move te focal point above the surface and use the beam geometry. Some manufactures do tubes using a three axis machine for petroleum applications.
