I want to link 2 different size (5 nm and 20 nm) gold nanoparticles (inter distance of different size gold nanoparticles mot more than 3 4 nm). I tried diffetent techniques such as using thiol (mercapto/silane such as MPTMS and amino/silane such as APTES) molecules but in each time I had many many problems with aggregation of monodisperse solution. I have not any idea for my destination. I tried with Cysteamine too but I didn't gain proper result. (aggregaton and not sufficient yield of SH-amine binding and more sensitivity against PH varities).
All helps will be appreciated.

You could try and adsorb a low molecular weight positively charged polyelectrolyte to the larger gold particles, making them positive, remove excess polyelectrolyte then add the smaller particles, which are negative. I don't know whether it would work for gold-gold system but it does for silica gold, where the silica is around 100 nm. I would suggest using polydiallyldimethylammonium chloride as the polyelectrolyte which you can get from sigma, try the low molecular weight polymer as the higher molecular weight polymer may aggregate due to bridging flocculation.

aka coherers. Zinc or iron particles
in a glass tube were baked together
by a high frequency and high voltage
pulse that came from earth and antenna.
You can create such discharges with
a car's ignition coil or maybe with
an electric fly swatter.

Nanoparticles can be produced directly in a liquid. You can use method of inert liquid condensation (ILC method - Technical Physics, 2012, Vol. 57, No. 2, pp. 286–291).
A former student told me that he obtained gold nanoparticles that were ferromagnetic.
If that is also your case, let Nature do his job.
