Dear all,

I am using a weather station to measure some environmental parameter in the city of Sydney, pedestrian level.

In summertime, the global solar irradiation (horizontal) returned by the sensor was sometimes higher than 1400 W/m2, peaking at 1600 W/m2.

The manufacturer sustains the recordings are right and the sensor correctly calibrated, but as far as I know these values are way higher than those that could be expected, even considering extraterrestrial irradiation.

Does anyone have an answer to my doubt? Can I trust such measurements?

Thanks,
