Using films which have a strong connection with the topic being covered is a beautiful way to engage with your students . I have been using clips of films or sometimes whole movies to connect with my class thus being able to express themes and ideas better. My students are raring to go before or after screening engaging in brainstorming sessions before reading the text and watching the video content or writing a review about the film and the text, after being part of this experience. I believe we as modern day educators need to use novel and interesting means to be relevant in the present times.
