Hello Rahimi, I am not sure if technology has changed the essence (I define simply as essential components) of a human.being.  Each of us has the same aspirations, intellect, emotions; with or without the great advance in technology.  But the teaching and learning process has changed somewhat and I think that visual and auditory learners have advantage with our powerpoint presentations, our videos, and even music that we bring to the lecture halls.  I hope that we also bring some fun and entertainment to the  T&L of our students.  One more thing is that with technology, our lessons may be recorded, and this helps slower learners.  Thanks.

Technology has great power to influence our humanity, teaching & enhances Learning and also can improve the dynamics between teachers and students. Effective use of technology has the potential to transform the Student-teacher relationship at the undergraduate level. Technology has changed the ways in which we communicate and go about our lives. Very few educators would disagree with the notion that Technology has dramatically changed the teaching and learning process. Educational technology enthusiasts hope for the magic algorithm that will personalize, manage and rapidly accelerate teacher student learning through games, simulations, or just plan drilling students. Today’s textbooks often have web-based sites that include assessments, animations, additional materials, videos, and other materials to support the learning of new content. Voice recognition software has improved greatly in the past few years and is more accessible. Technology facilitates our ability to meet the needs of all kinds of learners.

Technology  both simplified ( easy access to up to date information & better communication, etc)  and complicated (e.g. internet addiction of different form) human life. Regarding teaching-learning process, it contributed immeasurably ( e-learning, computer-assisted learning, smart-classes,etc).

Modern technologies have great impact on learning and teaching process. According to me, application of technologies have made the process very easy to lean as well as teach. Also, examination process have also been very simple by the use of online-examination as well as evaluations. I think all the documentation processes need to be made online. However, we need classrooms to learn and teach that cannot be easily replaceable though online teaching process as it may degrade the quality of education.

I believe that technology has brought man either to his own benefit and to his own downfall. Technology must only assist man in his struggles towards uncertainties. Man must not be a slave of technology. Docility towards technology makes man less human. Technology must be viewed as a means towards higher level of wisdom.

You are perfectly right Sherlito , It is a double edged sword .

In my opinion, modern technologies have changed the learning and teaching processes drastically. It has made the process much easier. 

Well, under my point of view, technology is a great amplifier and star of most of the processes that have to do with our daily lives has caused and will cause changes in the very foundations of what we understand to live and , as is well , learning processes .

My view is this. Learning is a process endogenously taking place in man's horizon of being. It is not driven by technology. Technology only helps him in realizing and knowing the truth in human living. Science needs technology. Scientific thinking needs the assistance of technology. But without technology man can still arrive at the goals of science.
