Interdisciplinary Researches are required indeed. It is nice to see your opinion to enlighten me. I am watching your videos on the subject.Thank you very much

I’m a development economist with background in statistics. I have been involved in an interdisciplinary study on public policy ‘economic’ issues. Others in the team were 2 opticians, a physicist, a sociologist, a business administrator, zoologist, human resource manager, and a business economist. We sat in a round table to review TOR (terms of reference), draw work plans, draw subgroups with different tasks, define and defend ideas/concepts. It was both interesting and challenging! One has to contribute to ideas based one his/her background (discipline) and you have to breakdown all your technical teams to layman’s understanding to carry everyone along. At times, you may have to read materials from other disciplines to understand the points your colleagues are making. At the end of the research, the results were unique, robust and very practicable! I love interdisciplinary research!
Interdisciplinary vision could ply leading role in interactive and collaborative works with high output, most big research are set examples of such bug achievements for humanity.
I simply shared my talks which are mostly interdisciplinary in nature, if you reckon we can organize some team or group activity , I would be more than happy to proceed.
I have already taken an M.Tech degree in interdisciplinary stream. I am having my B. Tech degree in electrical and electronics engineering whereas M. Tech degree in water resources development and management. But, presently, doing PhD degree in Electrical engineering.
I am interested in interdisciplinary studies because Interdisciplinary Studies is appropriate to the 21st century. Interdisciplinary Studies use critical and analytical thinking techniques to solve complex problems. Its develop interpersonal communication skills, intercultural understanding, and researchers are flexible in their careers..
Actually studies are always interdisciplinary in nature, at least solutions so obtained are interdisciplinary in application, due to interdisciplinary nature of problems of life. Disciplines are just a kind of partial correlation finding in mathematics, in which correlation of one variable is found keeping others constant. Treatment of subjects under disciplines are just corollary of this concept, but ultimately knowledge generated under these disciplines have to be integrated to reveal the reality. A researcher should start addressing problem using interdisciplinary research, depending on discipline can delimit the problem. But if we are taking problem under the domain of social sciences, behavioral sciences, education etc. one should really address the issue in interdisciplinary manner, preferably by combining researchers from relevant fields.
There is a lot of potential for interdisciplinary work, Please arrange a session for articulation and going further. I am multidisciplinary as follows Mechanical Engineering - Technological Operations - Management- Project - Agriculture - Entrepreneurship & Consulting - Business coordination. Looking forward with eagerness.
Currently, I am thinking that working in the area of renewable technologies will be very bright. So later, I may switch to those areas rather than working in pure electrical engineering field.
Interdisciplinary studies are very important as we may get the holistic results from the concerned investigation. It really help to enhance the several ways for scientific innovation. we will mobilize the scientific commnity for this type of inter disciplinary activities for the benefit of the mankind.
