Gray cast iron (GCI) remains the conventional material for automotive brake discs production. The machinability and natural (eugene) frequency of GCI discs change with time due to natural aging that occured in the GCI disc. Unfortunately, the unstable eugene frequency of the disc is unacceptable in the automotive industry. It is quite challenging to find a way by which the inherent properties of GCI discs can be related to the eugene frequency of thee disc. Thereby, one would be able to accurately predict the eugene frequency of aging GCI disc. I look forward to read your contributions to this question. And I thank you very much in advance for your time and effort.
