How does the hardness of water affect the stratification of a pond?

Especially in the case of shallow pond having maximum depth of not more than 20-25 meters. Would there be any changes in the depth of thermocline layer due to varying concentrations of hardness and TDS?

There are chances of a weak thermocline at 25 m depth. But how quickly the pond is replenished and what is the scale of this pond/lake will determine if there can be a thermocline or not.
