"Soft engineering" measures, such as coastal shelter belts, represent an effective and sustainable strategy for mitigating the negative impacts of climate change and enhancing the resilience of coastal communities. Planting vegetation such as trees and shrubs along the coastline can reduce soil erosion, absorb excess carbon dioxide, and act as a physical barrier against storm surges and strong winds, thereby lowering the risk of flooding and infrastructure damage. Additionally, such shelter belts contribute to biodiversity conservation, improve air and water quality, and play a vital role in preserving ecosystems that are essential to local fishing and tourism economies. Unlike hard engineering solutions such as concrete barriers, these nature-based measures enable long-term adaptation of coastal areas to climate change with minimal negative impact on the environment.

The best way to have protection for coastal shores and Ocean floors is to have Mangroves MGs done in order.

This NbSs Naturally based solutions are ideal to maintain biodiversity assets also

Where the land is not continuous, ie

If the land is fragmented or rocky stones Etc..

We could use Floating Beds FBs and with thick Mangroves in full growth to be a

" Coastal Guardians"

This would help coastal communities to have SHGs to thrive on Marine species

Local Flora and fauna also flourished.

This is Sustainable and very apt.
