Constraint-induced therapy has been shown to be effective for restoring "learned nonuse" in chronic stroke. In order to promote brain recovery and prevent "learned nonuse", early mobilization (including encouraged use of the affected arm) may be useful but evidence for how the brain may rewire after early intervention awaits scrutiny.
Thanks Keh-Chung for your great contribution. Your input is very educative. Do you have any articles that have presented some scrutiny on the rewiring after early interventions?
