How does one can distinguish between Donor-acceptor level transition and free to bound by blueshift and redshift in laser dependent PL spectrum study?

I have got redshift in PL spectra for one material and blueshift in another material with increasing excitation power. I want to interpret the DAP and and free to bound transition clearly. Can anyone provide some suggestion or reference regarding this?
