I would like to learn from your experience in order to improve the way we write and to facilitate the method of writing in a way understandable and clear to the reader.
1) When you write your manuscript, re-read it by yourself twice before submitting.
2) Let your paper be checked by somebody with 'feeling' of the language, e.g. a person who lived a long time in Britain/US, or your good friend with degree in English literature etc.
3) Read more to improve your English (just in general). It does not matter what literature: what you like yourself even in your native language: romance stories, history, BBC or other online news, detectives, web blogs written by natives etc.
4) Ahsan Mustafa has given a good advice.
My candid advice is that you should first of all write the manuscript in your native language. You can then request any of your trusted colleagues who is very vast in English Language to help translate. Another option is to seek the services of certified professionals (companies) who do this for a fee. Thanks.

Write so that anyone can understand your article, then it will be simple and elegant. Every paragraph should have a summary statement and the end of every sentence should relate to the beginning of the next. And provide enough data to support assumptions :)
Write your article in native language then translate with Google and employ the service of some professional proof reading agency to edit and revise your manuscript before submitting.

If you have already written some articles in english, either you are a native speaker or not, it doesn't matter. Try to make simple and concise sentence rather than tough wording.
First try to read some articles related to your Research, then starts writing in english.

There are number of ways as suggested by so many here. In addition, you can use grammar software packages to cross-check your tenses and flow of the sentences. You can also engage an English native speaker to help you in reviewing it, especially if you have such a person in your department or institution.
This article must be done with a scientist from the same field of research who is accustomed to writing in English
My native language is Spanish, sincerely I have had little luck when contracting scientific translators in Mexico. Generally there are errors in the use of technical terms (that if I know). As a student it is very expensive to pay for the services of a scientific journal. In my experience the editors of journals carry out a last grammatical revision and on those observations I make a "final" grammatical correction. If someone knows a good translator in Mexico, please share your information.
