We know that AP has a gas-phase decomposition products and it's ok for AP combustion only. Some researches like Il'in and Gromov said about gas phase of Al and it's prime oxide AlO.
From the other hand at high temperature Al particle can became a liquid. Boggs published at 1970 his research about liquid phase of AP on crystal surface.
It seems not so obvious for me.
