Available information on the countries that have emerged from the Lockdown highlights an upsurge in COVID cases. It seems relevant to me that a discussion on sanitary measures in a situation of deconfinement be conducted between the members of RG.
I think that the countries that strictly applied the lockdown have already succeeded in controlling the disease and its success is due to the people obeying these health instructions. As for the countries whose people did not obey these instructions, the number of infections have increased. In other words, I think that the largest part lies with the people, their healthy culture and the extent of their commitment Strict instructions issued by the World Health Organization.
Dear Evens Emmanuel : Theoretically, the number of cases should decrease after the lockdown considering that the countries have already reached the highest point of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, if there is no continuity in practicing good hygiene practices and in maintaining the populations in a state of sanitary alert, cases could dramatically increase after the lockdown.
Dear fellow researchers, Hermann Gruenwald , Anmar Aldewachi , Rabin Thapa , Shno Mustafa Ali , Anwar A. Abdulla , Alexandra Pierre , Pedro L. Contreras E. , your enriching and relevant inventions are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your contributions.
I see an increase in cases, I think that the virus will live among us for a long time and that the population has to learn to live with the virus. It will also depend on how the different governments of the world manage the health crisis in their countries, the implementation of food plans and psychological and educational assistance is a deterrent, to preserve the lives of all inhabitants of the planet, while applying a vaccine that fights the virus and reduce deaths from this cause
There is no evidence that drinking lots of water flushes out the new coronavirus or the stomach acid kills the virus. However, for good health in general, it is recommended that people should have adequate water every day for good health and to prevent dehydration.
People are most infectious when they show symptoms (even mild or non-specific symptoms), but may be infectious for up to two days before symptoms appear (pre-symptomatic transmission). They remain infectious an estimated seven to twelve days in moderate cases and an average of two weeks in severe cases.
When the contaminated droplets fall to floors or surfaces they can, though less commonly, remain infectious if people touch contaminated surfaces and then their eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
The risk of catching the COVID-19 virus from the faeces of an infected person appears to be low.
There is some evidence that the COVID-19 virus may lead to intestinal infection and be present in faeces. Approximately 2−10% of cases of confirmed COVID-19 disease presented with diarrhoea, and two studies detected COVID-19 viral RNA fragments in the faecal matter of COVID-19 patients.
However, to date only one study has cultured the COVID-19 virus from a single stool specimen. There have been no reports of faecal−oral transmission of the COVID-19 virus.
You can recover from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Catching the new coronavirus DOES NOT mean you will have it for life. Most of the people who catch COVID-19 can recover and eliminate the virus from their bodies.
During lock down period, many people were not following the guidelines issued by the Government, and therefore, there is a rise in cases of COVID-19.The countries where people honestly followed the guidelines, the number of cases of COVID-19 decreased.
The numbers of infected are alarming, I think that some countries can return to quarantine if not total but sectorized. In my opinion, there has to be a vaccine to control the pandemic.
