How do you process the grinding of fibrous tissue for RNA extraction?

I used liquid nitrogen to grind scleral tissue into powder, but the tissue became extremely hard after adding the liquid nitrogen, and a big portion could not be completely pulverized. If anyone has experience dealing with this situation, could you please provide some helpful tips? Thank you!
