In order to improve or maintain healthy faculty environment there is need to ensure that decisions taken on staff welfare and career progression is seen as fair by all. The feedback system should be such that people are assured of non-victimization when they make a case on certain issues. There should also be a progress chat for every staff of the faculty to ensure that merit and hard work are rewarded accordingly. The allocation of staff to office should be based on ability to co-exist and tolerance of others. Informal interaction spaces should be provided and maintained while encouraging staff to learn to relax while at work. The segregation of staff based on rank should be discouraged and reduced to the barest minimum.
There are many ways of maintaining a healthy faculty environment for continued growth and development. Fair and equal treatment, encouragement, and incentives are some of these ways for good growth and development of faculty environment.
Consistent faculty growth in the university system may be achieved by motivating the faculty members. Head of institute may set some target for all faculty members as per their caliber and continuous monitoring is required. Faculty performance must be linked with his performance.
