Peoples are very anxious about getting infected in Covid-19. Health care workers are most vulnerable section of the society. In this dreadful situation what do you do to keep youself psychologically fit ?
Glynis Freeman There is a popular Tagore's song (Songs written by Nobel Laureate & Poet Rabindronath Tagore). And the song is "Kothao amar hariye jaoar nei mana, mone mone" ....exactly what you do "to lose myself within myself for a while". Look a feeling has its own universal language and it doesn't need to be translated...!!
I do a variety of things. I take regular breaks, go for walks, ride my bike, photography, cookery. I also, do floor stretching exercises, pilates, and sit quietly and meditate. I find it important to take regular breaks.
Mauro Luisetto Really ? don't you believe all those happened and still happening? That's a different aspect of self motivation. I think it not a kind of denial but trying to be a carefree fearless person. Good way.....
Going about my daily routine of weightlifting in the morning time, doing some readings to write out a research study for international journal publication, and making sure that my students are getting a better understanding of the theories being taught.
Md. Israt Hasan I don't do them all at the same time or every day, but I do have the full variety of interests and I make sure I do at least one of them every day. Sometimes I feel the need to lose myself within myself for a while. It helps me de-stress, helps to maintain my calm, and also helps me to process down the things I have been working on before moving onto the next task. Those things are like my reward for working hard. Above all, they make me feel good, and that is something that is important for coping with the pandemic days. They help me to see the positives and beauty of life.
Ravee Art Phoewhawm Great way to start a morning. A beautiful happening morning can make your day. Thuswise you are encountering the pandemic terror. Magnificent !!!
Dear Gulbir Singh , Yes Yoga is nice way to de-stress yourself. Every one has his/her own way to get rid of psychological stress. It's very important in this almost yearlong pandemic.
Erasmus N. Tang , Sports is a great way to be proactive all the day. Pandemic has given us some extra time to begin a new sporting or recreational activity which will not only feed our body but also will nourish our soul.
Isam Alkhalifawi A good thought. That's a scientific approach but not applicable to general people. A regular person actually don't want to talk much about the disease. That's cause them a tiddly feeling.

Exercising at home can be simple as there are number of options available today for most ages and abilities, including yoga videos or workout application, that can help one stay fit physically and mentally.
Ashish Juneja A very good suggestion but its quite hard to find a place to run in a Metropolitan city. Also very tough to maintain social distancing in anyway in such a place.

Now, lockdown and the danger of Covid 19 has completely dissolved in our country. We had only about few weeks of curfew and nearly two and half months of lockdown. No one in our family or among neighbours, caught any kind of psychological distress. We planned and utilized time nicely for some very useful activities which were delayed due to heavy workload.

Amina Othmani Reactionary behavior is normal in those situations. You are right following some safety measures is very important to be safe and to keep safe others.
I think the person must first of all accept the fact that there is a global pandemic hence can or cannot contract it.
But in other to be psychologically sound, one need to do what makes him/her happy and feel good. The moment the person starts enjoying the pleasures, he or she will feel some sort of soundness in herself/himself that will make the person not to be too focused on the pandemic. Some these activities that can reduce this anxiety are, having time with your spouse or your partner, with family members and friends that entertain you, involve yourself in sports, play instruments if you are an instrumentalist and many more
Dear Md. Israt Hasan A positive mindset, regular exercise and meditation and sufficient intake of fresh fruits and vegetables can keep us psychologically fit during the current pandemic. A useful link is given below:
Personal believes is very important and may provide a power to overcome the crisis also some sports like swimming and walking may help persons to improve their moode.
Dear Md. Israt Hasan psychologically fit for the person is not only required for this pandemic only, but we also have to keep fit ourselves all the time.
Avoid thinking too much about the pandemic, by doing yoga in the morning, reading good books and research articles, a healthy discussion with friends, and time with family members.
Have a program where you alternate physical activity with mental activity. For example do a daily long walk in nature and/or keep physically fit with appropriate exercises. Do mental work by reading, writing, playing music, drawing, consulting RG, etc that stimulate your brain. Keep contact with friends (phone, email, WhatsApp or social platforms) and try to have a regular and balanced nutrition.
To remain the entire faith and trust on Almighty Allah, nothing happens beyond His intention this is my psychological ethic. Secondly, recommended, all sorts of preventive measures as best are trying to practice.
Create an organized program to spend your time in a beneficial way. Try to work from home, spend more time with family, keep in touch with friends, and stay away from following bad news.
Good question, I do not think there is one definitive answer but a bunch of different mental and physical activities can help to entertain your mind, along with a great amount of hope, fate, character, conviction, resiliency, among many other human qualities necessary to survive to adversity like this one.
