Sometimes it becomes necessary to refer students to the Writing Center on campus to address their academic writing challenges from the undergraduate to graduate levels. However, as we are dealing with adults, they are not forced to attend, but very few go to the Writing Center when referred. Reasons given are that it's too far to walk and the opening hours clash with class time. As a result, their writing suffers. What have been your experiences with students attending the Writing Center when referred?

Many thanks,

Debra
