I want to perform a 7-day treatment (with replenishment of medium at day 3). I will be using the IC50 value for my experiment.
Which time-point for the IC50 value should I use?
I was thinking to use a 48H-obtained IC50 value, as that would make more sense than finding the IC50 value of the actual 7 day treatment (where the compound may have already degraded, or the top-up of media would change the value based on several factors).
What do you recommend? Does my thought process make sense?
What is the point of doing a 7-day treatment if you are going to measure the effect at 2 days? How do you plan to measure the effect at 7 days?

To Adam, I wanted to perform a 7-day treatment to observe post-damage responses in the cell. At 7 days, I would probably not just be measuring cell death.
