DPBA stains flavonoids, and then scan at different wavelength in Epifluroscent microscope. colour intensity will tell you the exact flavonoid as well as concentration.

A range of colur will be there and in literature you will get the information that which flavonoid gives which colour. For ex. Naringinin gives green clour
