Sometimes, you look for the journal you published in, but don't find it. Instead, you get a list of journals indexed in RG's database which doesn't include the journal where your article has been published. How can one manage to update the list?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to update ResearchGate's database of journals manually. It is compiled only automatically, see https://help.researchgate.net/hc/en-us/articles/14293139566353-Journals. - In case of a missing journal in RG's database, I add the bibliographic data to the abstract field (like, e.g., in https://www.researchgate.net/publication/344474227 and https://www.researchgate.net/publication/268925009).
I still wonder how 'new' journals find their way into the database.... I Imagine there must be a human team, somewhere, that takes in charge of indexation and related matters?
To add a journal to ResearchGate’s database, ensure it’s registered with CrossRef and has a valid ISSN. ResearchGate automatically imports journal data from CrossRef and doesn’t accept manual submissions.
