I am thinking of using a BLOG to publish aspects of my work as it avoids the journal publication delay and complications, and I retain copyright.
I have been advised that a blog is a citable reference - in the same way as any other webpage. Does anyone disagree?
One argument against a blog relates to "peer review". Yet if the blog gets comments, is this a form of peer review?
What do you (academics) think of a blog reference as a cited publication? If a student cited my blog words in their essay, what would your academic reaction be?
Thanks
Karl
