Dear Ugyen,

In a 2 liter beaker, add 1.5 liters of water, add 5 g of glucose powder and 67 g of clay.

Evaluate the amount of organic matter (= glucose) using a glucose test strip. Refer to the scale on the strip tube. Add 15 g of sand, 30 mL of oil and wood debris.

Place the beaker on the magnetic stirrer taking care to place the magnetized bar at the bottom of the container. Add 37 mL of concentrated yeast solution. Achieving stirring for 1 minute.

The resulting solution simulates wastewater.

according to the type of wastewater you want to treat,

for example if you want to treat textile waste water

you need to prepare different  solution of dye

first you need to prepare your standard solution for example (1000ppm) of certain dye.

then you you make a dilution from it (100,200,300,400,500).

then you adjust your ph acuatly different ph (1,3,5,7,9,11,13)

then you start your treatment

what ever for example (AOPs) or advanced oxidation processe

Dear Ugyen Dorji, The constitution of domestic wastewater in three Cape-verdean cities are presented in the table, and it will be easy to simulate with the helps posted. (Cape Verde was a developing country which graduated to low midle income country in 2008, but wastewater constitution didn't change significanty with the graduation). Best regards
