Personal experience and informal conversation with some stakeholders reveal that, learners occasionally get distracted in a classroom filled with technology. How do we ensure our course designs/instructional practices are tailored so that students' active learning is achieved, particularly in a technology-filled learning environment?

First we may think that it is easier and easier to maintain interest, the more ICT technology we use in the classroom. Some such effects may occur at the beginning. To use too much or not suitable technology is distracting, but I think the main effect is what the information philosopher Luciano calls "transdiegetisation" that information flows cannot be controlled in the information society. Information leaks through the classroom walls (which originally are there to stop irrelevant information from the outside) to the smartphones, Ipads and laptops of students. This changes the classroom function and creates higher demands on curiosity among the students and interesting teaching. So in the longer run, classroom teaching and Internet technology are not very compatible.
Many instructors are positively encouraging students to use their technological devices in bolstering learning. Instructors now encourage learners to upload education apps and social interactive platforms on technological devices where assignments, group projects and discussions are carried out. This approach has turned all the evils of technology into gains in the classroom. However, it has its own constraints. Strict monitoring and supervision on the part of instructors are require for their effective implementation in the teaching and learning processes.
1. Create a supportive environment.
2. Show the relevance to their future careers.
3. Use it for student's needs.
4. Involve their interests within.

I think the term "engagement" is the antonym of the concepts " bored and tired" which are associated with the whole package of difficult classes, homework, and extracurricular activities.
As teachers, the task of keeping students interested and engaged can often feel like a steep challenge. Teachers are competing with endless distractions, sleepiness, and a general lack of motivation. These steps could be helpful:

Use different energizers: games and puzzles......
Be collaborative and implement activities such as "extrinsic circle ", " four corners" Chinese whisper .........
