What I am asking for is sensitivity analysis in this thesis (see attached link). In page 265 of the thesis you can find a paragraph
"The magnitude of the change was measured by comparing the modified-parameter run with the Reference scenario. To incorporate transient changes over time, the difference between the runs was squared and summed over time. The integration technique means that changes mid-simulation are captured, not simply change in the final outcomes."
Can you explain the sensitivity analysis in this thesis ? How do this thesis does sensitivity analysis ?

Another question is what is difference between smooth and delay function in Vensim ? In what condition we should use smooth and delay functions ?
