In my case, I want to calculate for sample size among Thai women in Bangkok siriraj hospital. For example, in Bangkok has a population of 4 270 000 reserves among women. The Siriraj Hospital conducted a study on 3 435 breast cancer patients treated at Siriraj Hospital between 2003 and 2011. The average age of the patients was 51, with 24 the youngest and 86 the oldest. At 2017, there would be around 20 000 new cases of breast cancer in Thailand. About 10 000 women will perish from the diseases. Hence, for my research study, I want use secondary data on breast cancer female (which is I collect my data only when the hospital had the ethics committee approval from the hospital and all the information patient will be blinded) in Siriraj Hospital. So, my question is, how can I calculate my sample size using the secondary data?
