Thank you, Shaymaa but this topic is not covered in the user guide. The link to the plugin from this website https://imagej.net/formats/olympus no longer works and Olympus seems to think its not necessary anymore. Despite that, ImageJ is not recognizing my microscope camera feed.
As far as I know, ImageJ can be used to analyze captured images only.
imageJ it's an software use to analyze the pictures
The program I am using - called CharTools asks if I want to use a live microscope image. I've figured out that if I attach a camera via a USB, I can work with the live image. Thank you for all taking the time to reply
Pick one colony an place it on a slide,add some distilled water to enlarge it.use your dye of choice to stain it and conduct a gramm staining test or other tests to identify the bacteria colony and place a cover slip on top .
