I want to treat multiple cancer cell lines with the antibiotic Artesunate and am not sure how to dose the cells/figure out concentrations.
MW: 384.42
Solubility: acetone 33.4 mg/mL
Quantity: 100 mg
The drug will come in powder form and i want to make stock solutions of 2microM, 5 microM, 10 microM, 25 microM, 50 microM and am not sure where to begin or how to figure out how to dilute and add the drug to media.

You just need to calculate the mass needed (how many mg of antibiotic) are needed for each molar solution. Sigma has a helpful guide here:

I haven't used the antibiotic you mentioned. You might want to see if you can dissolve it in something other than acetone. If you are using 96 well plates for the assay, I'm not sure if the acetone will eat away at the plate. Maybe see if you can use ethanol or DMSO?

Katherine E. French thank you, I have tried using that link but the mass of powder I have to use is extremely small, almost impossible to measure.
Also, I beleive I can use DMSO instead of acetone but what I don't understand is how much DMSO to be adding to the antibiotic then how much volume of the diluted antibiotic to add to media.
How much powder do you have? You could make a concentrated stock solution (e.g. 1mL) and then try diluting that out into different aliquots.
For testing antibiotics, you want to try a range of different antibiotic concentrations. If you look up some papers on antibiotic assays (ideally for your antibiotic!), this will give you an idea of what range of concentrations to use.
