There is a method to measure chromosome-specific telomere length called STELA.  In that method, one chromosome-specific primer anneals to the sub-telomeric sequence and the whole telemere is then amplified by PCR using another primer that anneals to a ligated segment at the end of telomere.  We followed the paper and it only led us to the sub-telomeric sequence of p17.  I wonder if there is a database for sub-telomeric sequences of other chromosomes as well.
