We need legislation whereby the tobacco industry will have to bear part of the costs of managing and cleaning up its waste, as well as the costs of awareness-raising measures. The tobacco giants will have to contribute financially to the creation of an eco-organization responsible for finding solutions to collect butts, and for carrying out awareness-raising, cleaning, and recycling operations. Tobacco companies should be asked to pay the costs associated with collecting butts.

You also have to think about the pocket ashtray. The solution is therefore to travel or go out in the street or in the park with a pocket ashtray. Practical, it allows you to throw your butt in if you do not have an ashtray handy.

Why can't we do away with plastics? In our childhood, we never heard of plastics, and now why can't we ban their production?

Dear Maya,

In your answer, you don't say where you want to throw your butts. If you do not want these to mix with household garbage, then you should ask your municipality to reserve bins for this purpose, only for cigarette butts. I really don't see any other way to do it.
